Ugandan won Gothenburg race in Sweden

Jackson Kiprop from Uganda won the Gothenburg race where a total of 64,169 participated from all over the world. He completed the race in 01:03:13. On second place was Peter Kuriu from Kenya and Ghirmay Ghebreslassie from Eritrea came third. Best among the Swedish runners was Mikeal Ekwall and Isabella Andersson.

Sweden to increase investments in Africa

ABEBA TOOK THE FIRST GOLD FOR SWEDEN

Sweden got the first Gold medal in the ongoing European Athletics Indoor Championship today in Gothenburg. Abeba Aregawi, a Swedish with Ethiopian background won the 1500 meter under 4.04.47 with a clear margin and distance to Icabel Macías from Spain ( 4.14.19) and Katarzyna Broniatowska from Poland ( 4.14.30) for second and third position respectively.
