The Africans Market Place gave a lot of people that visited Frölunda Torg in Gothenburg on Sunday 29th January the opportunity to experience the open display of African arts, wares and different tunes from different African cultural groups. A good initiative that encourage the African living in Gothenburg and its environment to converge and celebrate their cultural values and also help others to know more about them.

Frölunda Torg in Gothenburg, brought together some of the best African groups that are known in Sweden and have been very passionate about their work, like Edo Bumba, Floid Gumbo, Xalino, Oke Masima and Afroviking dance group. The event is to serve as a bridge to unite the African people and other national and to increase the awareness of culture and its importance to economic growth. African market place also showcased the marvelous talent show by the young kids that entertain the crowd with songs in different African languages.

The project was initiated and carried out by Edo Bumba in conjuction with Frölunda Cultural house and supported by Gothenburg City Culture.

Skandik Afrik will share with you some of the memorable scene at the market..
